There’s nothing quite like gathering the family to indulge in a classic afternoon tea. Introduced in England in the 1840s by the Duchess of Bedford, the style of dining includes a selection of light refreshments such as scones and sandwiches, and has grown to become a grand British ritual enjoyed by the masses across the country.

Whether it’s a special occasion or a sunny Sunday which calls for a spot of scoffing, afternoon tea is a great way to enjoy the finer things in life. Often served on immaculate china and with shimmering silver teapots, the ritual is neither a lunch nor a dinner – more so a mini meal to stem the hunger and anticipation and, quite frankly, indulge in fine food and good conversation.

At a time where family and togetherness comes to the fore, Christmas is the perfect time to indulge in a luxury afternoon tea. Picture this – sipping on unlimited cups of tea and coffee, feasting on festive finger sandwiches and sweet treats and enjoying the company of your loved ones in a relaxed atmosphere, encompassing the joy of the festive period.

Our Christmas Afternoon Teas are designed to bring you together with those you cherish most, with fabulous food in a homely yet special setting. Be it in front of the roaring open fire in our cosy lounge, or around a large table in our contemporary-style restaurant adorned with festive decorations, you’re sure to be delighted by our fancy fodder and spectacular range of drinks.

Served Monday to Saturday throughout December, our Christmas afternoon teas include an assortment of freshly-prepared sandwiches, a fruit scone with cream and strawberry jam and a selection of afternoon tea cakes.
